I was playing around the other day, trying to come up with a clean and simple yet modern/trendy project when I came up with this. I don't know if this necessarily fits that bill but I kinda liked it in a weird way. Lol.
I only picked from my scraps stash to put this together. The three layers of pink were part of a large butterfly wing that I ended up not suing and the butterfly die cut was an extra from another project I made earlier this month.
I really like the gray and the pink together and the over all design, I feel, is interesting.
I say all of that because lately, I've been thinking a lot about "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Someone might look at this piece and totally dig it, while someone else might look at it and completely hate it. Many times we want to create things that other people will like and we get disappointed when what we've created and what we think is beautiful doesn't get the reaction we were expecting. Of course, that is perfectly human but I want to strive towards being happy with what I think is beautiful, regardless of others' opinion--because they are so varied and not one person's opinion is "right."
I love that we all have different thoughts on beauty, though! I'm going to keep striving to be content with my eye for beauty and try to appreciate the differing opinions of others. :)
Ok, just some personal thoughts on that matter! LOL! Thanks for "listening" and let me know what your thoughts are on "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
