PDCC #140 and OBDC: Distressing

Hey, everyone!  Today I have a fun card to share!  First of all, I used Play Date Cafe challenge 140 for the color scheme:

I had the perfect papers for this challenge!  Crate Paper's Portrait Collection fit the bill.  Here is what I came up with:

For the Our Daily Bread Challenge, I distressed the edges of just about everything on this card!  :)  I also used their  "Thank You Sentiments" stamp set, stamped in Memento Teal Zeal.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  We are off to beautiful Colorado for a couple of weeks so we'll see you when we return!
Blessings, Janice :)

Play Date Cafe #139

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a card using Play Date Cafe's challenge #139.  And can I just say that it was truly a challenge for me!    Here is the color palette we were to use:

Tough one for me but I gave it a go!  Here is what I came up with using CPS sketch #272 which I was late in entering but wanted to mention it anyway!

I dug through my papers to try and find some "gold" looking sheets  and something silver (gray) that would make the cut.  I ended up using a sheet from DCWV's World Traveler stack (the card base and rose) to satisfy the gold requirement.  For the silver, I used some Webster's Pages netting and colored the sentiment banner with my C3 Copic marker.  I used the stamping off technique to achieve a gray (silver) look for my circle using Anna Griffin's Modern Graphic Stamps.  That beautiful "thank you" sentiment is Our Daily Bread Designs Thank You Sentiments.  I recently was the random winner to one of ODBD challenges and I am looking forward to getting more scripture based stamps from them!!  Excited!

I made that rose using Paper Blossom Collection's rose punches.  It was super easy to put together!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Blessings,
Janice :)
