Card Patterns #108 using Layers of Color

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a card made for the Card Patterns sketch #108. Here is the sketch below:

And here is my take on it:
Ok, aren't you just loving the floral DP on the right?!  I found it at my LSS, Crop Paper Scissors and fell in love!  ;)  I wish I had the sense to ask what company it came from as it had NO label or anything on it.  Sad.

This beautiful butterfly is Layers of Color's "Embroidered Butterfly" rubber cling stamp.  Isn't it lovely?  I colored in the middle sections with a Sakura "Suffle" pink gel pen.  Those lovely white roses on my butterfly--flower brads by Pebbles, a super fun find at my LSS!

Ok, you see that floral DP in the background?  It is the one with green and white flowers--I made that!  I used Layers of Color's "Merci Bouquet" clear art stamp set (one of my favorite LOC stamp sets--I have quite a few LOC favorites!).  I stamped it in Memento New Sprout then outlined the petals with a white gel pen.  Don't you just love it?!  :)

Well, thank so much for stopping by! Have a blessed day!

Spellbinders Thank You Blog Hop

Hi, everyone!  If you've arrived from the talented Giovana's BLOG, then you're in the right place!  If not, make sure you start over at STAMP TV to catch all the wonderful creations from the beginning!

The Gina K Designs team would like to welcome to you this special Spellbinders Thank You Blog Hop--take 2!! Recently Spellbinders generously gifted each member of our Design Team with the amazing new Grand Calibur.  What an exciting gift for sure and we are absolutely enjoying this fabulous machine! We have made some special cards and projects to showcase the new Grand Calibur and why we are loving it so much!!

Thank you so very much Spellbinders!!!

I used Gina K's new StampTV kit "Springtime Silhouettes" all over this card!  First off, I stamped the flourish-y background stamp with "Antique Linen" distress ink to create the background.  Next, I stamped the bird image three times in "Frayed Burlap" distress ink then cut them out.  That sentiment also came from this wonderful set!

I love me some Spellbinders Fancy tags and use them often!  That beautiful little addition to my sentiment panel is from one of their Fancy Tag dies--LOVE them!

Next up is my sweet friend, Jennie!  Go on over and see the beauty she has created!

Always thankful for your visits! Blessings,
Janice  :)

This set is just FULL of gorgeousness!

Here is a card I made using four of the images in this set:
I just had to go vintage/shabby chic on this card as I was so inspired by the gorgeous dress form stamp!!!  I used Webster's Pages designer paper and colored my butterfly with Copic markers.  The thank you sentiment came from "Stenciled Silhouettes."

Now head on over to the other design team members' blogs for some great inspiration for this set!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you've enjoyed this release as much as I have!

Gina K Design's March Release Inspiration Blog Hop -Day 3

Welcome back everyone!  I have three wonderful sets to show you today!  First off is one by Tami Mayberry called "Perfect Pendants"!  Here it is:
Don't you just love it?!  You can make all sorts of cute banners with these images or you can use them in an unconventional way like I did with my card for today.
This card was super easy to make!  I simply embossed the diamond pattern on the card base then added the banner triangles and ribbons with a little bling in between!

Next up is an adorable set illustrated by Asela Hopkins, "Cute as a Bug."

For my card, I chose to use the adorable little caterpillar on the hammock--isn't he just too cute?!
I colored this little guy with my Copic markers and used Basic Grey designer paper, "Mellow".

And lastly, we have Nina Brackett's newest beauty, "Lovely Labels 3".  If you haven't seen her Lovely Labels  1 or Lovely Labels 2, you are missing out! These newest additions just as awesome, now adding a bit of "roughness" to her labels set in order to add ease in making masculine cards! Check out this gorgeousness:

Of course, I had to go with a good bit of vintage love for my card!
How could I not use lace?  Hee hee!  No, this is not a masculine card but that's ok!  This set is very versatile--masculine, girly, vintage/shabby chic, it does these all well!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I love reading all your comments and seeing which cards you like best.  Best of luck to you all on winning these sets!

Now, get on over to the other design team member's blogs for more wonderful inspiration!

Have a wonderful day!

Gina K Design's March Release Inspiration Blog Hop -Day 2

Welcome back to Gina K Design's March Release Inspiration Blog Hop everyone!

Today we are showcasing three new Gina K stamp sets!  First off is "Bring the Bling" by Melanie Muenchinger.  This stamp set is just perfect for adding "bling" to your cards and projects without the bulk!  Here is what I came up with for some inspiration for you:
On this card, I used four of the many fabulous images in this set.  I love that you can emboss these images in a glossy or sparkle embossing powder and really make them shine!  I chose to keep them more muted in my card to stick with the muted color scheme.

Next up is, Warm With Love by Theresa Momber!  Theresa has a knack for illustrating beautiful nature images and she did it again with this set!
Look at those Iris's!  Just perfect for any spring occasion!  I started off using my wonderful Gina K Pure Luxury card stock in Vibrant Violet then layered in Lovely Lavender and White.  I colored my Iris's with Copic markers and used my new Spellbinders Dies, Elegant Posts.

You will absolutely adore today's last stamp set, Make a Splash by Asela Hopkins!  The images in this set are just adorable!!
Look how fun!  With all those fun swimming jelly fish I couldn't help but make a slider card to have the cute little octopus bobbing by!  He slides from one end of the wavy cut out section to the other!  Don't you just love this one?  Just too cute!  I colored the Jellyfish and octopus with Copic Markers.  :)

Alright, now head on over to the other design team members' blogs for more wonderful inspiration!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

I love the "homey" feel this stamp set has.  Here is some "homey" inspiration for you!

    Spellbinders Thank You Blog Hop

Hi, Everyone! If you've come from Giovana's blog you're in the right place! If not, make sure start over at StampTV so that you don't miss out on all our Spring-y inspiration!

The Gina K Designs team would like to welcome to you this special Spellbinders Thank You Blog Hop! Recently Spellbinders generously gifted each member of our Design Team with the amazing new Grand Calibur!!! What an exciting gift for sure and we are absolutely enjoying this fabulous machine! We have made some special cards and projects to showcase the new Grand Calibur and why we are loving it so much!!

Thank you so very much Spellbinders!!!

The theme for our hop is "Spring."  Here in Texas Spring is definitely in the air!  We have been enjoying some wonderful Spring weather, flowers are blooming and the birds are chirping!  For my thank you card to Spellbinders I decided to go with a nice clean and crisp look. There is something about Spring that just refreshes the soul and speaks of new beginnings.  Kind of like a clean slate type of feeling.  I just love it!

So, here is the card I made that goes along those lines:
So, what do you think?  Fresh, clean, new beginnings.  Yes!  ;)

Since we are spotlighting Spellbinders on this hop, I just had to just my favorite Labels Nine die for this card. Nina Brackett's Lovely Labels 1 stamp set coordinates with this die set and offered just the right natural image for our theme.  I used Tsukineko Memento inks and the butterfly and leaves came from Theresa Momber's Hope Grows stamp set.  The sentiment came from a recent Gina K Designs stamp set, Framed Greetings.

Well, ever since Spellbinders came out with the GRAND dies and the GRAND Calibur to cut them with I just had to have them!  I love the versatility of the Grand Calibur!  Not only can you cut bigger dies with it, you can also cut down your work by cutting multiple dies on one go!  Nice!

    Thank you Spellbinders!

Now, off you go to Jennie's blog for more inspiration!   Thanks so much for stopping by!

LOVE --Scalloped Goodness and Pink Floweret

Hi, everyone!  Today I have a couple of cards that I submitted for the Paper Craft Magazine's Go to Sketch Issue BUT didn't make the cut.  So sad, I know.  ;)  BUT, the good news is that Amber over at Damask Love turned lemons into lemonade by holding a "Reject Blog Hop"!  Isn't that fun?!

So, here goes.  Rejected card numero uno (sounds so dramatic doesn't it?! I don't really feel all that rejected--I like the cards I made!):
On this lovely card, I used Layers of Color's "The Love Chapter" clear art stamp set (the script and LOVE) and Gina K Design's "Vintage Borders".  Both of these sets are illustrated by the totally fab Nina Brackett!  It followed Sketch 55.

Alright, here is card numero dos (or "dois" in Portuguese if you like--you'll be hearing more Portugal references as I'm moving there early this summer!):
Ok, I "think" this card was made using Sketch 6.  I used Layers of Color's "Floweret" cling rubber art stamp and their "Sent with Love" clear art stamp set for the sentiment.

Well, there you have it!  I did enter one more card but I'm saving it for a later date.  Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure you check out Amber blog hop and leave some love on all the participants--some gorgeous cards are being showcased!

    Blessings,
    Janice

Nature Card using Layers of Color

Hi, everyone!  It's been too long since I shared some inspiration with you!  We have quite a lot going on in our life right now and things are going to pick up pretty quickly, too!  BUT in the mean time, I have a card to show you that I submitted for a pub call that didn't get picked up (boo hoo! LOL).

    Here ya go:
Well, what do ya think??  I'm a big nature girl.  I love hiking and camping or just taking leisurely strolls in a park or beautiful garden.  That love for nature sometimes gets incorporated into my art!  For this beauty, I used 7Gypsies paper, a Maya Road felt flower and some fun fibers!  Thank you Melissa Shultz for the way fab, canvas bug ribbon--I LOVE it!

In the pic I've zoomed in on the beautiful "Floweret" stamp from Layers of Color.  Don't you just love this image?!

And here is the sentiment zoomed in.  This sentiment was created by combining two of the stamps in Layers of Color's "Sent With Love" clear art stamp set.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
    Much love,
    Janice  :)
