Oh, the stories we have to tell...

I'm sorry, I just have to share!  LOL!  I am smiling now just thinking about what I was told when I came home this afternoon from dropping off a cake.

Well, I get home from delivering a cake (more info on that later!) to be told by the little boy of the family we are living with the "funniest thing", "Elijah was jumping on the trampoline naked!"  Me--"WHAT???"  Completely at a loss as to how in the world this might have happened and starting to laugh as I imagined my scrawny little four year old jumping on the trampoline in his birthday suit.  I immediately headed inside to get the full story from my husband.

Apparently, shortly after being put down for a nap (according to my little guy) he had to go potty.  He naps in our bedroom since his little brother naps in their room and naps don't usually happen if they are in there together.  Anyway, there is a bathroom in our room so he went without Luke knowing.  Well, he apparently had a hard time pulling his pants up.

Now, I don't know how he went from having a hard time pulling his pants up to thinking it would be great to go outside and jump on the trampoline (without telling anyone--aaaaccckkk!)  but that is exactly what happened.  Our bedroom has an outside door that leads to a shared driveway with our neighbors (with whom we are so thankful for as they let our kids play on their trampoline and all their outdoor play equipment).  The trampoline and playscape are just seconds away from that door.

SOOOO, since he couldn't get his pants back on, he decided to just go jump on the trampoline.........in his birthday suit.  He's four.  Just turned.  Oh, Lordy!  LOL!  Normally, I either take a nap with him or am in the room working at my scrap table.  Today, I had to deliver a cake during that time so I wasn't there.

Apparently, a neighborhood boy saw him from across the backyard (there is a low fence on one side) and came running to our door.  He was out of breath (or just shocked) but this was what he said, "Boy...naked......jumping on trampoline!"  LOL!!!

Luke proceeds to check in on Elijah, and low and behold he is not in bed.  He goes out the bedroom door and, sure enough, there is carefree Elijah, happily jumping on the trampoline, in nothing but his birthday suit--by himself, nobody around (thank God!).

We now plan on installing a lock that he can't reach.  :)

Oh Janice... this has me chuckling because I had a similar thing with my own DD... and at the time I didn't think it too funny! LOL! We went to church one sunday, with a fully dressed 2 y/o... dressed in a short little kilt type skirt. When we went to pick her up after church... daddy picked her up and I was mortified to see her bear little bottom under that kilt! We asked where her panties were and she didn't know. She said she had gone potty and one of the boys in the class had come in... and something happened to them... she had no clue. We searched everywhere to no avail!!! To this day it is a mystery! Needless to say we did not go with "the group" to dinner!!! We went straight home with our half naked child! Now we laugh over it trying to imagine where those panties ended up... most likely flushed! LOL! Thanks for sharing the story and for the giggle!

What a funny story. Reminds me of an episode with my granddaughter climbing a tree in her birthday suit on a Sunday afternoon when all the elderly in th neighborhood were taking their afternoon stroll.

Lol, so funny. I remember when my middle son was about three. We were in a resturant when he declared he needed to go potty. My husband stood up to take him and my son pulled down his pants right there. Luckly they made it to the restroom in time.
