Here is my entry for the StampTV release party challenge 2. Theresa Momber gave us the challenge to use the highlighting with nestabilities technique. I used Stampin' Up's Bravo Burgundy to highlight the middle section of the fancy tag.
Those beautiful stars and sweet sentiment came from GKD stamp set illustrated by Tami Mayberry.
Hi, everyone! StampTV had their latest release party this past Thursday and I thought I would participate in a couple of their challenges. For this challenge, we were asked to make a card using three out of these colors: Yellow, Orange, Red, Green, and white. I chose to use Red, Orange and White and made a fun fall card. :)
I used GinaK Designs "Signs of Autumn" and "Autumn Beauty" stamp sets. Thanks for looking! :)
Today I have a card using Card Patterns Sketch #78. It was a fairly simply sketch that I thought would get me to make a card in no time but my detailed self had to come out and I chose to use Nina Brackett's Lovely Shelf stamp set which is BEAUTIFUL but not one that I could just stamp and go! The embossed polka dots in the background were created using Nina Brackett's Vintage Backgounds stamp set and clear embossing powder. I thought it was the perfect touch for this design. :) This card will also be entered into StampTV's color challenge for this week, which is to use at least four colors out of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown or black! Great challenge, huh?! I was able to use red, orange, yellow, green, blue and black--not too bad! DCWV's Citrus Stack made most of those colors possible! I used GinaK's Pure Luxury Cardstock in Sweet Corn as my base. Colored the kettle and cup in Copic R24 and added the polka dots with a white gel pen.
Thanks so much for looking! Have a wonderful night! Janice :)
Hi, everyone! Tonight I have a fun shabby card I'm entering into two challenges. The color combo comes from StampTV's color challenge for this past Monday (using any combo of GinaK's Pure Luxury Card Stock: Romance collection) and the inspiration comes from The Shabby Tea rooms week #23 challenge. I'm afraid I am coming in right at the very last minute for both of these challenges but I thought I would enter them anyway! :)
Here is my card:
I used October Afternoon DP and Nina Brackett's Vintage Borders and Lovely Labels set. :)
Hi, everyone! I'm hosting "Faith Art Friday" over at the Layers of Color blog. I wrote a bit about being led by the Spirit. Here is the card that goes along with it. I prayed and just let the Spirit lead me as I created. It is interesting that He lead me to make a simple (yet detailed) and peaceful card. :)
Hey, there! We have been fairly busy here in Texas and withstanding some extreme Texas heat! In South Carolina, we dressed in shorts and tank tops so that we would have less clothes to drench with sweat, but here in Texas, I find myself thinking, "I think I'll wear a long sleeve shirt and some pants, today," so that I don't bake!!! I seriously feel like I'm baking any time I step outside in the sun!! Ha!
Good morning, fellow bloggers! Today I have the honor of joining the LOC design in celebrating the fabulous job Kristine Breach has done as a designer for Layers of Color. She is stepping down as Designer for Layers of Color. Kristine is a super talented artist that loves God with all her heart. I have had the privilege of getting to know her a bit since I've joined the team and what I can say about her is that she is a down to earth, warm-hearted sister in Christ. It is a blessing to have gotten to know her!
In her honor, today I will be featuring on of her cards. Just take a look at this beautiful and encouraging card:
Go over to her blog today and show her some love! Also, you can join our celebration by visiting these blog:
Hey there BLOGLAND!!! Goodness, I've been away from my blog for too long! Well, I have had a good excuse though! Our family finished our language school stint in South Carolina and have moved back to Texas! Yea! We missed our friends and family greatly and we were just so excited to get back! Needless to say, we have been busy packing up, cleaning up, driving, driving, driving, moving in, unpacking some essentials and getting caught up with our loved ones. Phew!
Well, on top of that some SUPER FUN and EXCITING things have been going on with Layers of Color and I have been able to be a part of it! More to come on that later! ;) (Sorry for the tease!)
This is my first card going towards a challenge. I'm entering it into CPS Sketch #180. I though it was a great CAS sketch to get my challenge mojo going! ;) I couldn't resist but to use Layers of Color's "Merci Bouquet" stamp set on this one as the DP and it go SO well together!
Card Stock: Recollections
DP: Mirabelle by Paper Studio
Stamps: Layers of Color "Merci Bouquet", "Her Majesty's Urns"
Ink: Memento in Desert Sand
Zing Gold Embossing Powder
Thanks so much for looking! Have a fabulous day friends!
