Nina Brackett's Blog Annivesary Challenge, CPS #160 and a StampTV project

This is my second card towards Nina Brackett's 1st Blog Anniversary Challenge. I really love the paper (My Mind's Eye) and again, there is that wonderful doily again! This time I change it up a bit coloring in some places for accenting and cutting out the middle so that I would be a bit smaller.

I'm also entering this one in the CPS Sketch Challenge#160.

I like how it turned out, how about you? :)

Stamp TV's "Anything but a Card Challenge" this week was to make a stamps envelope that you can put in your purse to carry you stamps in. I thought it was a cute idea and here is how mine turned out. I again used MME dp and for stamps, I used flowers from Stamp TV's Spring Mix kit--a FANTASTIC kit! I LOVE it! Well, thanks for looking everyone! :)

CP Sketch 57 and StampTV "Anything but a Card Challenge"

Here is my second entry for the Card Patterns: Sketch 57 challenge! It was such a great sketch I couldn't help but make a second card with it!

This cute little gift box is for StampTVs Anything but a Card Challenge! I used Nina Brackett's "Nana's Needlework" and "Lovely Shelf" sets. The doily on her needlework set is just to die for and SO versatile (believe it or not!).

Thanks for looking everyone! :)

Nina Brackett's 1st Blog Anniversary Giveaways

Here is my entry for Nina's 1st Blog Anniversary Giveaways contest.  Go to her blog and check out the great CAS sketch that my card above it based out of.  :)  I used the "thank you" stamp from the StampTVs spring mix kit and the eyelets that you can set with a pen (also came in the kit!).  The little flower on the bow came from Nina's "Nana's Needlework" set--a MUST have!

Card Patterns: Sketch 57

Here's a card I made for CardPatterns Sketch 57 and for Stamp TV's inspire16 Challenge . I used Stamp TVs Spring Mix stamps and Nina Bracket's doily stamp from her Nana's Needlework set. Can I just say how difficult it was to cover most of that doily up--extremely!!! Let me know what you think!

Clean and Simple Thank You

Here is another clean and simple card I made! I used GKD pure luxury card stock in asparagus as the base and vibrant violet for the middle piece. I have this super awesome collection of books with vintage images in it and that is where the flower piece came from. Hope you like it!

Baby Shower Cake

I made this baby rattle cake for a baby shower I'm going to tomorrow! Our new friends, Gabe and Becky, recently had a baby girl named Iris. We've have enjoyed getting to know them through our language school program and are super excited for them and their newest addition to their family! I've made a rattle cake once before and I think this one is definitely an improvement! :)

Cogsmo Card Holders and Passing some Sunshine along

Ooooh, I had so much fun making these card holders for the Stamp TV "Anything but a card" challenge! Well, truthfully, I was a bit uninspired when I started but as soon as I started these super cute stamped images I was hooked! I colored the robots with my copics and used Cosmo Cricket's "Cogsmo" DP. Don't they match just perfectly?! I made a template out of an old card box and used it to make a new one, which I covered with the same Cogsmo paper and stamped with the "cards" stamp that came in Gina K's Organize it Kit. So, this is kind of a different project but isn't it super fun? It is perfect for kids that have a hard time holding lots of cards in there little hands!

A Little bit of Sunshine!

A fellow blogger and new friend of mine via Stamp TV, Jennie gave me a Sunshine Award! She had just been blessed by so many people that made her smile either through beautiful creations or encouragements given that she wanted to recognize a few and then have them pass the "Sunshine" along to others that have blessed them. What a great idea!  So, here goes!

Jennie- Of course, I can't leave her out just because she tagged me first!  Jennie is a super talented card maker!  I noticed her cards right away when I joined StampTV and I just knew she would be chosen as StampTV's guest designer for the month of March!  Go check out her blog and get inspired by her beautiful creations! :)

Pam-Pam makes me smile just about everyday!  She is so funny and REALLY encouraging!  I don't think a card goes into the gallery at StampTV that she doesn't comment on!  :)  We found out that we joined StampTV at just about the same time so it's been fun being newbie's together!

Nina- Ok, of course I have to include Nina Brackett!  She not only creates beautiful cards and projects but more importantly, she love Jesus and is serving him overseas!  Of course, if you know me, then you know I will soon be in her shoes and can't wait to use my gifts of crafting to bless those around me in Russia.  She also so graciously chose me as one of her Designing Friends for February! I was so blessed to be chosen and had a wonderful time designing for her using her Lovely Labels set!  Thank you, Nina, you have been a blessing to me and I know to many others.

Theresa Momber- Well, Theresa and I aren't "friends" per se BUT I subscribe to her blog and am always in awe at how she is able to use Copic markers and ink to create just flat out amazing cards.  She also is so encouraging on StampTV, leaving great comments!  Thanks Theresa, I really appreciate them!

Thanks ladies for your encouragement and for the inspiration you give!

Stella Ruby -Thank You card

Here is a card I made for a couple of challenges. The first was the StampTV color challenge. We were supposed to create a card using wine, yellow and kraft as the main colors. The sketch I used was for the CardPatterns: Sketch #54. I embosed the base of the card with the CB Herringbone embossing folder and used Basic Grey's Stella Ruby DP. For the card base I used GinaK's FABULOUS Pure Luxury Cardstock in kraft, and in wine for the matting. The bow was made from some ribbon that came in Gina K's Organize it kit. Just love ALL of her products-such great quality!
Well, let me know if you like it! :)

StampTV -Anything but a Card Challenge

I wasn't able to participate in last weeks "Anything but a Card" challenge but I was this week! I made this frame out of a sheet of chipboard. After cutting the frame, I inked it up using some distress in "tea dye" and with some PowderPuffs in Mocha Mama. I then stamped the leaf image from Gina K's signs of Autumn set. I stamped then cut out the leaves to make the little arrangement on the bottom left of the frame. The sentinment is from Rupa Shevde's Oh Baby set. Gotta love these stamps--Gina K. has awesome designers! :)

StampTV Blast from the Past challenge

This weeks Blast from the Past challenge had us playing with shaving cream! It is a technique where you use shaving cream and re-inkers to create a marbled look. I did so and then stamped butterfly images from the Dream Birds stamp set. I cut them out then adhered them on the card which I embossed with a CB embossing folder. I apologize for the blurry pic! I so want a nicer camera!!

Inscribed in the palm of His hand

Good evening! I made this card for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #28. You were supposed to make a card as if unto the Lord. You know what I love about creating? I love that, for me, it is a way that I use the talents God has given to create beauty. When I create I trully feel God is with me. I love the feeling I get when I see the finished product and really, I trully love the process. When I think about how much I enjoy creating, the process and the finished product, I think about how much more God loves to look at us, His creation. We are all in process and we don't always think that we look so good but God sees us for what he has made us to be, a beautiful creation made to glorify Him. I am so thankful to serve such an awesome, loving and creative God. :)

I've also entered this into a sketch challenge at StampTV. If you haven't checked out that site, you need to! It is such a fun and GREAT resource full of super friendly people! Go check it out here. Well, let me know what you think! :)

GinaK Designs StampTV Illustrator Challenge #3

Here it is! I think I just about made the time constraints on this one! Phew! I will keep this short and sweet! I used GKD Pure Luxury Cardstock in Innocent Pink and Creme de Menthe. Stamps wise I used Dream Birds by Asela Hopkins. Let me know what you think! :)

GKD Illustrator BlogHop Challenge (2nd entry)

Ok, everyone here is my second entry for GinaK's Illustrator BlogHop Challenge. I used Rupa Shevde's "Oh Baby" stamps and GKD Pure Luxury Cardstock in Innocent Pink and Lemon Drop. I've posted two picks in different light. The first is more true to color but I just loved the way the sunlight hit the lace in the second one. I am calling this card "Sweet and Simple" as I tried to keep the "fluff" to a minmum. ;) Stay tuned for one more card from me today! I will be entering one more card using "Dream Birds" by Asela Hopkins. Let me know if you like it! :)
