Copic Fun!

Hey! If you've never stopped my Mo's Digital Pencil, you should! She has the CUTEST digital stamps! I couldn't help but get this super adorable little cupcake fairy appropriately named "Sugar." :) I colored her and her cupcakes with Copic markers adding clear Stickles to her wings and Spica Glitter Pen to her tutu and some of the cupcakes. I wanted to post the image 'cause I really like how it turned out! I'm planning on making a birthday card out of it. :) Let me know what you think!

ATC Swap at Scrapbook Get-Away

I decided to play along with one of the SGA Swaps. The theme for the swap was Valentine's/Love so I chose a sentiment from the Heidi Grace "Baby" collection and some MME paper. Here is what I created, wouldn't these be great as tags or a little note to stick in child's lunch sack or really as any kind of embellishment to add to any kind of gift or note:

SSCC #23

This weeks challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ was based off of 1 Peter 1:23 which says, "For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God." Going along with the idea of a seed, the challenge was to use a little bit of green on your card. My green was in the sentiment, the few blades of grass by the tree and the green rhinestones on the sides. As always, let me know what you think! :)

Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #22

I went and visited the lss here in Columbia the other day and found this AWESOME DP. Isn't is just absolutely BEE-U-TI-FUL! I've never heard of the company before, "Webster's Pages, but boy did their designer (Terri Conrad) do a spectacular job on this one:

Well, having such awesome DP to work with, I couldn't help but have a blast making this card! I knew right away that I wanted to piece together a house shape (the theme of the challenge was "home") somehow and thought that this DP would be perfect since it was already a mix of different designs in one. I used the scalloped border from the Hero Arts Doll stamp set for the curtains and around the verse (Josh. 24:15), and also a lamp post stamp from a set I bought at Michael's.
I loved using the metal embellishments, giving the card a "piece of sculptured art" look. So, what do ya think?

Leave a comment and tell me what you think! Thanks for stopping by!:)

Sweet and Sassy Stamps Blog Challenge #39 Entry

it has been so much fun creating all these cards--I've done three in the past few days and I just moved here a week ago! :) Happy, happy! It really is such a release to make something! To have a little nitch where all of my crafting supplies are in one place and I can just go there after I put the boys to bed and enjoy. Yea! God is so good in giving us skills that we enjoy using. :)

Here is my entry for the SSS Blog challenge #39:

Card Blog's Sketch Challenge #47

One of the blog's I follow is called "Crafting in Croatia." The blogger's name is Nina Bracket and she is serving the Lord in Croatia and using her crafting skills as well. I really admire her. If you know me, then you know why! Soon we will be moving to Russia and serving the Lord there and I love the idea of being able to follow my passion to create where ever I go. I really like the idea of using my passion for crafting to make connections with people and get into their lives. I trully hope that once we get on the field(wherever I go!), that I can make my love for Christ and my love for crafting be used side by side.

Anyway, she is hosting a challenge over in Card Patterns blog and I am so excited because the winner will win one of her stamp sets, Lovely Shelf! I love her stamps and would LOVE to own another. So, without further ado here is the card I am submitting! Here is hoping I win her stamp set!!!:)

SSCC #21-Thank You Card

I did it! I moved to South Carolina and still managed to make a card for the Stamping Sisters in Christ challenge, woo hoo! It is such a stress reliever to just sit and create something! So this weeks challenge was to incorporate a broken look in your card. I cut a circle into pieces and created a mosiac type background for the 'thank you' sentiment. I used Fancy Pants DP and the stamp I bought at Michael's and cannot remember the company that made it. I embossed a little design on the corners with my Ultimate Crafter's Companion that I got for Christmas. :) Hope you like it! :)

SSCC #20- Baby Card

Well, I made it! I wasn't sure if I would be able to participate in one more SSC challenge before our move but I did! :) Tomorrow my crafting supplies get packed up for our move to Columbia, South Carolina! Sad that they will be packed up but happy that they will have a more permanent home (for 6 months anyway!) in just a week or so.

Ok, so this weeks challenge was to create either a card for a new baby or for a new believer. I just recently bought a My Mind's Eye glitter stack called Love Nest that has lots of pinks in it, so I right away knew that I wanted to make a baby GIRL card. The stamps are Heidi Grace and the quote was from a quote stack of scripture on vellum paper I bought at Michael's a while back. I was excited to make this card because I was going incorporate an embossed something or another using my new Cuttlebug and dies I got for Christmas. :) I was able to emboss the brown square and the pink oval with the swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder--way fun! I'm having fun using lace, too (second card I've used it on)!

Here is it what do you think? I like it!
