Cupcakes, Cupcakes, Cupcakes!

I made these super fun cupcakes this past weekend for a friend's son's birthday party! I had the most fun making them; especially since it has been 5 months since I made my last cake--I miss it!!! All of my cake supplies (except for my tips) are boxed up so I had to borrow a friend's mixer. Luckily, it was just cupcakes so I didn't have to worry about a pan!
I got the idea of the cute animals from the scrapbooking paper set called Actopus to Zelephant by K&Co. Aren't they fun?!

More cards and Keeiping the Word before us

Did you use to love coloring when you were a kid? I think I colored even through college! I actually still have my old coloring books(in a trunk somewhere)! My favorite things to color where precious moments. I think I loved them so much because they were so detailed in design. I loved coloring them in lots of vivid colors. One day (who knows when) I'll fish them out and post some pics. BUT anyway, my point in bringing that up so that I get to color again! I discovered Copic markers and I am loving coloring again! I colored the leaves for my thanksgiving cards with them and just love how I can blend the markers to create such a rich image. Fun, Fun!

Keeping the Word before me.

I have been meaning to cut some verses with my digital cutter and post them in our bedroom and bathroom and I finally got around to cutting one out last night. Here are some pics of the verse up on the wall. I can't wait to do some more!

Keeping the Word before me

I cut this verse out with my Gazelle (digital die cutting machine)and am going to put it up on a wall in my bedroom. It is one of the verses I am keeping before me so that it can be ingrained within me. Who can tell me where this verse is found? :)

Cards, Cards, and more Cards!

Ok, so I am planning on sending Thanksgiving cards our this year (I hope I get them done in time!!!)and came up with a pretty simple card design. Here are a couple of the cards I made. They seem pretty plain to me but I am making about 75 of them so I need them to be somewhat simple. Any ideas that you think might make the card look less boring but would not add a lot of work would be welcomed! The leaf cut out idea came from a mommy friend of mine that is super fun and crafty. I colored the leaves with my beloved Copic markers, cut them out then adhered them with pop up dots (I think that is what they are called anyway! ;) Oh, and I forgot to mention that the beautiful leafy corner stamp is a Gina K Designs stamp--I am loving this stamp thing!

And here are a few random cards I made with the Ps. 91 stamp I bought at Hobby Lobby when they had their stamps half off and also a stamp from the "Vintage Borders" set by Nina Brackett who designs for Gina K Designs. Her set is awesome and you will be seeing more stamps from her set soon! They are super fun! I used My Mind's Eye paper: Out and About Short and Glitter stack.

It's been awhile!

It's been awhile but here are a couple of pics of the cards I made (with the help of a great friend) for a women's retreat overseas. I had to make 54 of them which is why they are very simple!
