Be Happy Be Bright

Hi, there!  Today I am participating in a CASology challenge!  I have been wanting to get back into card challenges and was finally able to hop back on! Here is this week's cue card:

This card challenge drew my attention because it is all about clean and simple cards!  My favorite!  Here are their official guidelines"
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)
So, with all that in mind, here is what I created!

I do not have the knack of taking pics with mostly white  in them!  Sadly, my yellow looks orange.  Boo.  But, that's ok. In person it looks great!  Lol!

If interested in any of the products used in created this card just let me know!  I am a Fun Stampers Journey coach and am happy to help!  Visit my website: www.funstampersjourney.com/janicewhiting for more information! :)

Pan Pastels Confectionery Days- part 2

Alright, so here is the second card and video I created showcasing our Confectionery Days pan pastels!  :)  This card is a bit different in how many layers and embellishments it has compared to the previous card but still packs a powerful visual punch.  :) I used Pan Pastel Pool Play to create the sky background (SUPER easy) and then stamped over it.

Check out my video on how I created this card:

On Trend

Hey, there! Today I have a pretty "on trend" card and video tutorial that I would love to share with you! For awhile now, wherever you go its seems you see beautiful combinations of black and white stripes with bouquets of bright flowers. I have always been drawn to how pretty that combination is so I thought I would give it a try. And, of course, I am highlighting one of my current favorite mediums to play with, Pan Pastels!

Super fun, no?!  :)

Here is a video showing exactly how I put this beauty together, check it out!

Quick and Easy Mini Gift Bag

Hi, everyone!  Today I'm hosting our "More than one Score" monthly challenge over at the Scor-Pal blog!  This month's theme is "Fun in the Summer Sun" and I sure had fun making my project!  Check it out!

Isn't that so fun and refreshing?!  In this summer heat, you can't beat the refreshing feel of yummy watermelon!  I created a fun mini gift bag to house a card and gift certificate.  You can think of it as an embellished alternative to you ordinary envelope!  ;)

Instructions

 1. Cut a sheet of pattern paper to 6 1/4" x 12".  Using your Scor-Pal, score at 4 1/2", 5 1/2", 10" and 11", as shown below.

2. Turn paper vertically and score at 3/4".

 3. Fold along the score lines, then cut on those lines up to the 3/4" scored line to create bottom flaps, as picture below.

4. With the opposite pattern showing, score in the middle of the one inch section created, then fold on those lines.

5. Add Scor-Tape to the front of the side flap.

6. Turn paper over and fold taped flap in, as shown below.

(I added another strip of Scor-Tape to the edge.)

7. Peel off Scor-Tape backing and adhere sides together as pictured below.

8) Open up the bag to give its shape.

9) Add Scor-Tape to one of the bottom flaps and adhere to close.

Voila! Now it is ready to embellish!
